Before July of 2000, Michelle worked for two of the largest banks in Canada, so she clearly understands "serious business", but it is her experience since then that proves that she also understands the serious business of politics and pleasure.
Over the last six years, Michelle has served as the Financial Agent, Executive Assistant to Party President and Vice-President of the BC Marijuana Party. Definitely not "politics as usual!"
In the 2001 Provincial Election, Michelle assisted in recruiting 79 candidates for 79 ridings. That was the first time any new party had ever had candidates in all of BC’s ridings.
She not only provided support for the candidates, but ran her own campaign in Peace River South (and got 4% of vote!)
In 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005, Michelle planned, promoted and managed the Toker’s Bowl, which was attended by some 200 (mostly American) guests.
This involved creating the events, managing staff and security, obtaining venues (including some of the best restaurants in Vancouver), organizing entertainment, caterers, menus, hotel accommodations, marketing, and "party favors."
If she can do all that for the Bowl, anything else will be a "piece of cake"! - from the best bakery, of course!
